David Markowitz

David Markowitz is a sustainability expert and ecologist. David currently serves as the Principal Ecologist at World Parks, Inc., an environmental non-profit working to assemble the largest network of protected areas on the planet.

In addition to his work at World Parks, David is a Climate Committee Member at Ecologi, where he advises on tree planting and carbon offset projects, and works as a Forest Ecologist at the Green Future Project, where he helps build a verification framework designed to maintain the integrity of carbon credit projects in South America.

David holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master’s Degree in Conservation Biology from the University of Michigan. He currently lives in Miami, Florida.
