In summary, this polish contains a few worrisome ingredients, including benzophenone-1, Trimethylpentanediyl Dibenzoate, some FD&C colors, and other chemicals. So, why have I included it here?
In short, because this polish is still far better than most on the market in terms of toxic chemicals, and it is made from entirely plant-based materials in a factor that is certified by ISWA. This polish is also wudu-friendly. Wudu is an Islamic tradition whereby Muslims wash parts of the body using water before prayer. To follow the wudu process properly, air and water should be able to permeate the skin and nails. Zimah have deliberately designed their polish and had it tested at a laboratory to ensure that the polish is permeable even after two coats are applied. Beyond that, the permeability decreases, and it may no longer be wudu-appropriate.
