Overview
This organic wool comforter is lightweight, breathable, and warm, similar to a down comforter in many respects. It is a three-season organic wool comforter, meaning you can use it year-round in most climates. As wool is excellent at wicking away moisture, a wool comforter is great for keeping you perspiration-free. This organic wool comforter contains a carded pure wool fill that is quilted with serged edges to prevent the wool fill from bunching or moving around. That means there is even warmth and no cold pockets.
This comforter is free from dioxins, formaldehyde, GMOs and fire retardants, looks beautiful, and comes in a certified organic cotton fabric casing that is tightly woven and smooth. It is still best to use this comforter with an organic duvet cover, and/or use a flat sheet under the comforter to keep it fresh.
Rawganique’s wool comforters are custom-made, which takes about 1-2 weeks. These products are not returnable, and are not typically machine washable. Instead, air out seasonally and expose to the sun to keep them fresh. The comforter is available in the following sizes:
Size | Dimension | Price |
Twin | 68″ x 86″ | $387 |
Twin XL | 68″ x 95″ | $396 |
Full | 78″ x 88″ | $489 |
Queen | 86″ x 86″ | $535 |
King | 86″ x 100″ | $617 |
Cal King | 98″ x 100″ | $642 |
Rawganique was founded in 1997 by off-grid homesteaders on Denman Island off the west coast of Canada. They have deliberately stayed small-scale over the last 20 years so as to preserve the integrity of their eco-friendly efforts. The company handcrafts products made with organic cotton, linen, and hemp, and maintains control of the purity and sustainability of their products by growing, weaving, knitting, and sewing most of them right on their homestead. The founders of Rawganique describe themselves as ‘chemically sensitive people’ who use only their own products because they can guarantee their purity.
Rawganique wool comforter vs. other Rawganique wool products
This is an excellent 3-season wool comforter available in a variety of sizes. However, it should be noted that the wool used in this comforter does not seem to be from the Rawganique’s family ‘pet’ sheep, though it is now GOTS certified!
