Overview

Nature’s Carpet offers more than 60 styles and colors of 100 percent wool broadloom carpet and wool carpet blends.

Nature’s Carpet Element Collection is a blend of loop and cut pile in warm earth tone colors. Wool is naturally dirt and soil-resistant, fire-retardant, and durable.

Look for their Dark Green Label carpets, which are the most eco-friendly option. These feature:

  • 100 percent undyed wool pile
  • No chemical additives
  • No insecticides
  • Natural jute secondary backing
  • Natural latex adhesive
  • Biodegradable
  • Low-VOC emissions (certified Green Label Plus).

The Dark Green Label collection from Nature’s Carpet is untreated and 100 percent non-toxic. These broadloom wool carpets are manufactured with the strictest standards to assure the finest, safest products, especially for those with chemical sensitivities. There are no hazardous chemicals in the fibers or the backing; no toxic dyes, no moth protection, no biocides or fungicides.

More affordable, but not totally natural options

Nature’s Carpet Medium Green and Light Green Label carpets are more budget friendly but not always totally natural or non-toxic.

Light Green Label carpets feature:

  • Wool or wool-blend pile
  • Stable low VOC dyes
  • Insect resistant
  • Synthetic or jute secondary backing
  • Synthetic backing adhesive
  • Low-VOC emissions (certified Green Label).

Nature’s Carpet Element Collection vs. Everest Collection

Nature’s Carpet Element Collection is an excellent natural option for high quality, cozy, durable carpeting. Although a little more costly than a recycled and synthetic carpet, Element carpets are naturally durable, meaning they are likely to cost less over the longer term. As these are loop and cut blends, they are liable to shed a little more than entirely looped wool carpets, such as those in the Everest Collection.
