Whisper Organics offers two main kinds of organic cotton sheets, one with a 300 thread count and one with a 500 thread count. These sheets are both sateen weave. Whisper Organics also offers flannel sheets, including a red plaid weave that would be perfect for kitting out a cozy cabin in a fun way.
The sheets are all made with certified organic cotton grown in India and Turkey and dyed using non-toxic natural dyes.
I have been sleeping on Whisper Organics sateen sheets for more than four years and I still love how they feel. In fact, these sheets have only gotten softer and smoother with age.
Note: Whisper Organics no longer sells the exact sheets I purchased four years ago. The replacement seems even better though!
Whisper Organics 300 thread count sheets are so soft and get softer with every wash. They’re smooth, cozy in winter, cool in summer, and it’s easier to sleep knowing there are no toxic chemicals touching my skin.
The Whisper Organics sheets have held up incredibly well over the years, with no tearing, loose threads, or any signs of wear and tear.
Whisper Organics sheets are available in a wide range of colors, more so than most other organic cotton sheets. If you’re searching for the perfect Ocean Blue or Dark Purple, Lavender or Asphalt, these are the sheets for you.

Whisper Organics sustainability
These sheets are made with organic cotton grown in India without any pesticides, herbicides, or insecticides. The cotton is ginned, spun and woven with no harmful substances and is naturally dyed without any toxic chemicals. The cotton is certified organic via Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).
Whisper Organics uses silky single-ply yarns and a high thread count for a smooth and soft sleep surface. A tight, one-pick weave also lends these sheets more strength and durability, with less likelihood of pilling as there are fewer yarn ends to pill.
Aside from using organic cotton (GOTS certified) and shipping its sheets in reusable fabric bags, Whisper Organics doesn’t have a lot else going on, sustainability-wise. This, along with the shrinkage issues, is why I give these just four out of five leaves.
The company is a smaller, family-run business based in upstate New York. Over the years, Whisper Organics has earned a reputation for friendly and attentive customer service and every improving products.
There’s still not much information on Organic Whispers as a company, though, despite having been in business for a good few years now. This makes it hard to tell if the company goes the extra mile for eco-friendliness and has, for instance, zero-waste initiatives or green energy policies at its factories.
Downsides of Whisper Organics Sheets
My one complaint with my set of Whisper Organics sheets is that they shrank considerably with the first wash. In fact, the standard/queen pillowcases became so small that they only fit my smallest pillows. And the queen-size fitted sheet and top sheet no longer fit my queen size mattress, meaning I now use them on our double/full bed instead.
Although the company has changed its collections since my purchase, I still recommend you size up with Whisper Organics if you have a deep or oversized mattress or pillows. The fitted sheet also has a fully elasticated side now (mine didn’t), meaning that it won’t sit flat against the side of your mattress if you have to really squeeze it over a mattress, topper, and protector.
Whisper Organics shipping and returns
The Whisper Organics satisfaction guarantee means you can return your sheets within 90 days for a full refund if you’re not happy with them. This is rare in the world of bedding, given that companies can’t legally resell used sheets and such.
Final thoughts on Whisper Organics Organic Cotton Sheets
Whisper Organics sheets aren’t my top choice for organic cotton sheets but they may be a great fit for your needs. The price point is excellent and the color choices and size availability is wider ranging than many other organic bedding companies offer.
Take care, though, to measure up and size up, and if the sheets do end up shrinking too much on first wash, let Whisper Organics know and request a refund.
You may also want to check out other sateen sheet options where the sheets are sanforized (pre-washed to shrink the fabric before it’s made into sheets). Great alternatives include Sol Organics (see our review) and Sleep & Beyond (see our review). Or, check out our other top choices for organic cotton sheets here.
